Purpose of the processing of personal data

Korp is a user interface for language researchers to view and process text material.

Personal data is processed for managing the users’ access rights to the materials in Korp.
Log files are used for ensuring the integrity and availability of the service and for producing statistics of the service use.
The Language Bank of Finland uses Google Analytics and first-party cookies for collecting usage data of websites and other services.
The data is used for improving the functionality of services and it is not disclosed to third parties.
Personal data processed

Following data is retrieved from your Home Organisation:

  • Your personal unique identifier within your home organization
  • Academic status (eg. student, faculty member)

Following data is gathered from yourself:

  • Access rights to material in Korp
  • Logs of your activities in Korp, such as corpora viewed

To rectify the data released by your Home Organisation, contact the IT helpdesk of your Home Organisation.
Data retention Your personal data is deleted upon request or after five years of inactivity as a user of the Korp service.
Data Protection Code of Conduct Your personal data will be protected according to the Code of Conduct for Service Providers, a common standard for the research and higher education sector to protect your privacy.
